What engineering services are available?

Yes. An integrated team can support needs assessment, existing-condition documentation, surveying, concept development, design, coordination, procurement or construction support, field observation, and closeout. Falk PLI tailors its role to the client’s internal resources and the responsibilities of other consultants. Maintaining continuity across phases can reduce information loss, improve consistency between field conditions and design, and identify constructability or coordination issues earlier. The project scope should still define decision authority, professional responsibility, deliverables, and communication procedures for each phase.

Construction-management services may include owner representation, resident engineering, staff augmentation, project oversight, cost and schedule coordination, field observation, quality documentation, contractor coordination, issue tracking, and support for the client’s internal team. Falk PLI can provide a defined support role or broader management responsibility based on the project and contracting structure. The agreement should clearly identify authority, reporting relationships, document-control procedures, approval responsibilities, site coverage, and the limits of the construction manager’s role.

Falk PLI can provide construction managers, resident engineers, surveyors, designers, and other project-support resources to supplement an internal team or perform an agreed owner-representation role. The appropriate model depends on the client’s staffing, project complexity, procurement method, schedule, and existing consultant relationships. Before work begins, the scope should define who can direct contractors, approve changes, review pay applications, accept work, communicate with stakeholders, and make final technical or financial decisions.

Land surveying should begin early enough to establish property, control, topographic, access, easement, utility, and existing-condition information before the design depends on it. The specific timing and survey type depend on the project, jurisdiction, property history, available records, and permitting or acquisition needs. Falk PLI can coordinate the survey scope with the engineering team so boundary, topographic, right-of-way, and construction requirements are addressed in the correct sequence. Delaying necessary survey work can force design assumptions or create avoidable redesign later.
