A Unique Opportunity + A Visionary couple
Our History
In a family basement with a Lego phone, one couple had a vision that would revolutionize the metals industry.
In the late eighties, Mike Falk was working at a large federal laboratory while Dorothy Falk raised their young family. They seized an opportunity to move to Northwest Indiana, where the couple saw a unique chance to capitalize on the concentration of steel mills. By providing the metals industry with precise measurements through advanced laser technology, they immediately improved overall equipment performance and reduced downtime for their clients, saving millions of dollars. The Falks also saw the potential value of laser metrology in a wide-variety of industries from manufacturing to civil engineering. They began investing in cutting-edge laser scanners and trackers while developing a team of highly-skilled engineers. Falk PLI then opened two additional offices in Pennsylvania and Alabama, with plans for a fourth soon. Innovative solutions for clients around the world are still spurred by the same values and passion that brought Falk PLI out of the basement and into the top of the surveying and engineering industry.
We have come a long way, now providing innovative metrology solutions to a variety of industries across the globe.
