Falk PLI uses 3D laser tracking and laser scanning technologies to provide precision as-built verification for complex structures. Laser scanning provides the gross spatial measurements for larger components whereas laser tracking provides the precise vertical and horizontal measurements for precision alignment. Through the use of our laser tracking methodology Falk PLI was able to identify variations in the surface of the lip face, lip inside depression and outer flange. Based on the measurements provided the elevated areas were machined to meet specifications. Additionally, the rim elevations were measured and adjustments were made to the machine base.
